Island Hopping? It's More Fun In Hundred Islands | Alaminos, Pangasinan

Well, perhaps you're still wondering where to go this summer. One of the suggestion that I can give to you is The Hundred Islands National Park. It is called that way because it's consist of 124 islands during low tide and 123 islands during high tide. Interesting, isn't it? This protected area is situated in Alaminos City, Pangasinan; just 4-5 hours away from Metro Manila if you travel thru a private car or 6-7 hours thru public bus.

Everybody's excited! Summer is beginning to heat up that's why tourists rush along to this destination. Its outstanding that the government made an effort to develop the wharf. You'll see here the vast landscape with complete amenities like a wide parking area, shower/restrooms, souvenir shops and a whole lot more.

Once you arrive, you will be asked to register in their Tourism Office then you'll have to pay the fees necessary for the island hopping. They will provide a boat and licensed guide that will tour you around all day and of course, life jackets for your safety. Did you forgot your  snorkeling gears? Damn but It's fine. You can opt to pay additional amount if you wanted to rent out.

Alright, so this is my one-year-old Riri on her first ever island hopping activity. Yayy!! This ark is where all passengers embark going to their assigned boat. We were able to get on a boat named "CHARITY" thanks for accommodating us! ☺😘

Approaching near the National Park, one of the islands have an unfinished monument which resembles the "Christ The Redeemer" in Brazil.

There are three (3) islands that were developed for tourism:

1. Governor's Island is usually where the boat will take you first. Of course, the main thing you can do here is to swim and savor the breathtaking view of the island. You can climb up until the top to witness the picturesque creations of God. It'll only take 300+ steps to get there. So...ENJOY! 😂 In here, you can also occupy some of the cottages (but with a fee) take a picnic and have lunch with your family and friends.

If you're looking for an extreme adventure, don't fret! This island offers a badass zipline encounter for only 250 pesos. In here, you'll be able to travel from one island and arrive on another island in just a minute, literally. I  know right?! It's cheap and unbelievably spine-tingling. Watch here my first ever zipline experience! Note: This activity is up until 4PM only

2. Quezon Island is another spot where tourists can stay and have a splendid afternoon. Did you know that Hundred Island National Park was created by Presidential Proclamation No. 667 and signed by President Manuel L. Quezon? Perhaps, that's why this island was named after him.

Yeahhh, these are fresh crabs that are offered to guests just after setting foot on the island. It's cheaper compared to sea foods sold in the local market. Make sure to bring your medicines before pigging out with this high cholesterol dish. The seller will also cook and deliver it to you if you want to. People are so nice in here! 😊😍😍

This island is much developed compared to the other islands and apparently much crowded. Once you reach here, you'll have to register and you have the option to pay for cottages or tables if you prefer to eat your lunch in this island. And hey, they also have accommodations if you wanted to stay overnight. Expect that the rent can get pricey during peak season.

If you haven't satisfied your senses yet and still have a lot of energy, you can go on a banana boat and get splashed into the water after being dragged for few minutes or hire a jet ski that can take you further from the shore away from the crowd.

Just a couple of yards away is the haven for giant clams. You can snorkel around and watch the fascinating marine life under the sea.

3. Children's Island has shallow waters intended for kids or for those people who don't know how to swim. Unfortunately,  I wasn't able to get a picture of it because I'm busy carrying my sleeping daughter. 😁😁 I guess she's tired already and you know kids love to recharge after a half day playing at the beach.

There's still loads of islands to explore but we don't have enough time. At least we we're able to indulge ourselves. We're so happy with the tan lines the we earned from this place. 😝 We shall return. Ciao!!!
