A Review: Angel & Marie's Place | Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union Philippines

Having a vacation doesn't need to be expensive. There are various hotels or accommodations that can fit your budget. Where here in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union and I can tell you there's a lot of options. Options. Options! From luxurious beach front resorts to medium class road side hotels to cheap backpackers inn. Whatever you preference is, its all here. Certainly, it would be best to do your research in advance and do the booking ahead of time to reserve the room for you.

So, our group booked a fan room in Angel & Marie's Place. It is a budget-friendly accommodation that can cater to your basic necessities. The establishment was named after the owners who were happily married and also had a cute English speaking daughter. (Chinismis ko diba? Haha!) When we arrived at the property, it is quiet because we were the only person inside. The reception; where they receive their guest is also within their restaurant. We met Marie and her loving daughter at the counter. They welcomed us with a smile then one of the staff gave us the key and showed us our room.

We went to Tangadan Falls in the morning prior to checking in at around 3PM. So, imagine how exhausted we were during that time. We're glad that the check-in process was smooth and fast. More importantly, the room is ready for us to occupy. It is very clean and comfortable. It feels sooo homey because we got there our basic things: a comfy bed, a strong electric fan, a tidy bathroom and a quiet location. Although the building is just along the road, you could hardly hear the noise from the inside.

Moreover, since we checked in at around 3PM, their policy allows us to check out around the same time on the next day. How cool is that? And the best thing about this hotel is; the rate already includes sumptuous breakfast for each paying guest. That's a big Yesss!! And it's no ordinary breakfast. The food they serve is home-cooked, looks sooo delish and smells really good. We absolutely had a heavy breakfast in the morning so we would have enough energy to burn while on the beach.

Angel and Marie's Place is not a beachfront hotel. Nevertheless, it is still near the beach. You just have to cross the road and walk a couple of yards away for like 5 minutes. Additionally, if you prefer to dine outside the hotel, you can just roam around and you'll see a bunch of restaurant serving different delicacies all around the world like Mexican and Italian  cuisines just to name a few.

Overall, if you're looking for an economical accommodation in Urbiztondo that provides an excellent service then I would recommend Angel and Marie's Place. Thank you and Ciao!!!

My latest obsession is BABY BACK RIBS.  Whenever I go to a restaurant that's the first thing that a check on their menu. Since it's a bit expensive on restaurants,  why don't I make a home-cooked Baby back ribs? I'm sooo thrilled with the outcome.  Here's what we need: Ingredients 1/2 kilo pork ribs 1 pack Hickory Barbecue sauce or regular BBQ sauce will do 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp chili powder (depends on your preference)  5 cloves of garlic Seasonings Procedure 1. Combine all dry ingredients and rub  it to the pork.  Add the wet ingredients then marinade it for at least 30 minutes or overnight using old ice cream containers your mother has been keeping. 😂  2. Cover it with foil to evenly cook the meat without burning the top first. Next,  put it in a turbo broiler with a temperature of 250 ° C for an hour or until the meat is tender.  You can also bake it in an oven instead if you like.

This is my king ham for our new born King, Jesus! Did you received a ham as a giveaway from your office? Now, here's the perfect recipe for you to cook this coming New Year's Eve! All you need is just 4 easy to find ingredients. Ingredients 1 ham 1 small can pineapple juice 1 small can of pineapple slices (reserve syrup) 1 cup of pure honey Procedure 1. Cut the ham in diamond patterns then in a thick pot, put the pineapple juice, reserved syrup, pineapple slices and the ham including its sauce from the packaging. 2. Simmer it for 20 minutes in low fire. After that, carefully take out the ham and pineapple slices. Set aside then continue boiling the sauce until it thickens. Make sure to keep stirring to prevent the sauce from burning. 3. Next, generously brush up sauce onto the ham then place it on a baking pan. Bake it using an oven or you can also use a turbo broiler just ensure that you cover it with foil first to evenly cook the ham.

We just ate lunch but here I am cooking again for our  miryenda . 😝😁 Today, I'll show you how to cook baked tortiglioni macaroni using a turbo broiler. Sorry guys, we don't have an oven yet. Hopefully, I'm gonna have my own soon. Meantime, here's the recipe you can try! Ingredients:  500 grams Tortiglioni pasta 2 tbsp cooking oil 1/2 kilo ground pork or beef (depending  on your           preference) 1 kg pasta sauce 2 packs all purpose cream 1 small butter 200 grams mushrooms 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 medium sized bell pepper, diced 1 pack quickmelt cheese Salt and pepper to taste Procedure: 1. Cook pasta according to packaging directions. Set aside. 2. In a pan, sauté garlic then add the ground pork. Season it with salt and pepper.  3.
