5 Things To Expect When Travelling With Your Mom

Moms are adorable! They give us unconditional love we need since we we're born. That's why as much as possible, we'd like to make them happy and treat them either by eating outside or through a vacation somewhere they've never been. Just recently, we went on a tour with our Moms and these are the things I wanna share that we've experienced while voyaging with them.

1. Expect a super duper extra heavy hand bag everytime they go out.

Yes. every. single. time. Even if they will just go to the church or your on day tour somewhere, they will bring a bottle of water, a loaded wallet with all their IDs and coins, their medications, two or more handkerchiefs/towelette, umbrella, make-up, tissue even though they already brought a hanky, scarf because they get cold easily and the list goes on. And the hard part here is, Mom wants you to carry her bag. 😩😭

2. Expect a frequent toilet visit.

Just after we stepped on a plane, my Mom asked for a toilet right away. The cabin crew said that passengers must wait for the plane to take off first and hold on for the seatbelt sign to be removed before going to the lavatory. Yeah, you bet my Mom didn't care and still went to the lavatory. 😆 I'm not sure why but perhaps because they can't endure piss that long anymore. Whatever the reason is, make sure the place you're going to have accessible toilets.

3. Expect that they worry too much and gets tired easily.

If you're planning to bring your Mom with you on a trip, check the activities first if it's doable. You don't wanna waste your money on a  themed park ticket and then end up just seating in the corner because they are too afraid to take the rides. So, I suggest don't surprise them with your activities. It's better to plan with them and get them involved so that you'll won't have to regret eventually.

4. Expect to have a very strict traffic enforcer with you.

Road trip is the best when travelling with your family. However, at times Moms become overprotective and tend to be a very strict traffic enforcer. As you step on that accelerator their mouth starts to accelerate too. 😂 They would warn you to slow down or would stop you whenever you attempt to overtake another car. They remind you about the speed limit and would only stop if the engine stops. So, bring a lot of patience, alrighty?

5. Expect to have a human alarm clock.

As we all know, elderly people seem to wake up early regardless if they slept late last night or what. Once a Mom wakes up, she would start fixing all the trash in your hotel room and would repeatedly talk about how drunk you are last night. If not, you'll just smell their strong coffee that'll make you wake up. So, if you wanna have a long sleep after a  beach party last night it would be best to book them another room. And don't tell them where your room is... Kidding! 😜😜😜

Remember, you'll grow old and become a Mom or a Dad too (if you have plans to do so) You'll soon be always prepared every time you go out, you'll worry most of the time and be overprotective with your child, you'll simply get tired, just wanna rest and wake up early the next day.... Just like what they used to do... Love you Mom! Ciao!!!
