A Review: Las Palmas De San Jose | Tuguegarao City, Cagayan

Tuguegarao City is one of the hottest place in the Philippines. So, having staycation in a hotel or resort nearby is a brilliant way to spend the day relaxing, bonding with your family and escape from stress and your daily life routine. That's why I've decided to book a room in LAS PALMAS DE SAN JOSE. Here's a review for them:

1. Location 💓💓💓💓

If you wanted to have a peace of mind and get away from the busy and polluted city centre of Tuguegarao, this is the best place to go. The hotel is located at #20 St Anne Street, San Jose Village, Atulayan Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. It's a bit far from the main road so it would be best if you bring your own car. However, you can request to the hotel directly if they can pick you up and they will provide a shuttle service. That's absolutely a big plus!

2. Reservations & Check-in 💓💓


I tried to book a Matrimonial room through their website . Unfortunately, I didn't get any reply or even an acknowledgement that my booking is confirmed. After a few days, I personally went to the hotel to check if my booking was done. And as what I am expecting... It really isn't confirmed. Moving on, I requested to be booked on my specific dates and asked to please make sure that we'll have a confirmed room to stay.
The day came, I checked-in with the front desk and Whew! Thank goodness the room is reserved for us. So, the crew gave me the keys and JUST POINTED OUT the building where the room is. I was like, "Where?" so that she will lead me to our room. But to my dismay, she just pointed it out again. Okayyy, so I just have to find it by myself!

4. Rooms 💓💓💓💓💓

I finally found the room and I must say that it's spotless and perfectly clean. Our matrimonial room is 15 square meters with a queen size bed that can accommodate up to two guests. Good thing our 2-year-old Yuri is still free. Here are the other room inclusions:

Flat screen and Cable TV

Hot and cold shower

Towels and toiletries

The room is also air conditioned and of course have 🆓 Wifi! Sadly, they don't have a hair dryer which is essential for us girls.

3. Food & Restaurant 💓💓💓💓

Las Palmas De San Jose also offers Al Fresco dining. They have a complete set of menu  that you can order and with a fair price. They serve generously and undoubtedly tasty dishes.

The room rate already includes breakfast which is great! So we would have energy to burn before having a morning dip in the pool. I must commend their room service though. I asked for our breakfast to be served at 7:30AM and they delivered our food 5 minutes early. But they forgot the condiments. 😅

Overall, Las Palmas De San Jose is a pleasant hotel. They were able to satisfy our needs and somehow met our expectations. I just hope next time the hotel crew will not only greet foreigner guests but also locals like us. We had a quality sleep and we we're delighted with our entire experience at Las Palmas De San Jose. My latest obsession is BABY BACK RIBS.  Whenever I go to a restaurant that's the first thing that a check on their menu. Since it's a bit expensive on restaurants,  why don't I make a home-cooked Baby back ribs? I'm sooo thrilled with the outcome.  Here's what we need: Ingredients 1/2 kilo pork ribs 1 pack Hickory Barbecue sauce or regular BBQ sauce will do 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp chili powder (depends on your preference)  5 cloves of garlic Seasonings Procedure 1. Combine all dry ingredients and rub  it to the pork.  Add the wet ingredients then marinade it for at least 30 minutes or overnight using old ice cream containers your mother has been keeping. 😂  2. Cover it with foil to evenly cook the meat without burning the top first. Next,  put it in a turbo broiler with a temperature of 250 ° C for an hour or until the meat is tender.  You can also bake it in an oven instead if you like.

This is my king ham for our new born King, Jesus! Did you received a ham as a giveaway from your office? Now, here's the perfect recipe for you to cook this coming New Year's Eve! All you need is just 4 easy to find ingredients. Ingredients 1 ham 1 small can pineapple juice 1 small can of pineapple slices (reserve syrup) 1 cup of pure honey Procedure 1. Cut the ham in diamond patterns then in a thick pot, put the pineapple juice, reserved syrup, pineapple slices and the ham including its sauce from the packaging. 2. Simmer it for 20 minutes in low fire. After that, carefully take out the ham and pineapple slices. Set aside then continue boiling the sauce until it thickens. Make sure to keep stirring to prevent the sauce from burning. 3. Next, generously brush up sauce onto the ham then place it on a baking pan. Bake it using an oven or you can also use a turbo broiler just ensure that you cover it with foil first to evenly cook the ham.

We just ate lunch but here I am cooking again for our  miryenda . 😝😁 Today, I'll show you how to cook baked tortiglioni macaroni using a turbo broiler. Sorry guys, we don't have an oven yet. Hopefully, I'm gonna have my own soon. Meantime, here's the recipe you can try! Ingredients:  500 grams Tortiglioni pasta 2 tbsp cooking oil 1/2 kilo ground pork or beef (depending  on your           preference) 1 kg pasta sauce 2 packs all purpose cream 1 small butter 200 grams mushrooms 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 medium sized bell pepper, diced 1 pack quickmelt cheese Salt and pepper to taste Procedure: 1. Cook pasta according to packaging directions. Set aside. 2. In a pan, sauté garlic then add the ground pork. Season it with salt and pepper.  3.
